2026-11 Permanent Inclusion Supervisor
The Fort St John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is a non-profit agency which has been providing quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities in the Fort St John and District since 1960. The FSJACL is an accredited agency with a trained, caring and trusted professional team of over 80 employees who provide quality services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. The FSJACL works collaboratively with community partners to achieve our vision of inclusion for all.
Located in Fort St John, this leadership position provides an opportunity to work in a natural resource rich region experiencing growth, a well serviced city with many outdoor recreation experiences and a strong, respected organization with many local and provincial partnerships.
Inclusion Supervisor
The Inclusion Supervisor oversees the day to day operation of the Community Connections program offered by the FSJACL. Community Connections Inclusion program provides life skills to adult individuals living with developmental disabilities. The program addresses a wide range of needs and interests, including communication and social skills, physical development and health, community participation, employment, and independent living.
Community Inclusion offers supports tailored to individual’s personal needs. The program supports approximately fifty individuals ranging from nineteen to eighty years old.
Staff Leadership:
- Development of services for the people we serve.
- Mentor employees by helping with planning and service delivery ideas.
- Strive to maintain an awareness of best practices in the community living sector.
Programs:
- Develop and oversee programs to meet the needs and goals the people we serve.
- Facilitate meetings and ensure that Person Centered Planning is the focus
- Represent the Association at community events. Understanding the role as a liaison person, and representative between the services, parents/families/caregivers, and the community.
Case Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with each individual and their families based on mutual respect, trust, and celebration of each person’s gifts, talents and unique contributions.
- Ensure effective communication with staff and families/caregivers.
- Be available to perform the duties of the Support Worker as needed on an on-call basis for emergency situations.
Reporting and Financial Management:
- Complete all necessary reporting as directed by the Program Manager.
- Supervise expenditures within the existing budget allowance.
- Ensure accurate reports and individual records are maintained and that confidentiality is a priority.
- Ensure that all pertinent and required documentation is complete.
The Fun Stuff:
- Participate in our fun community events.
- Meet individuals and their families to see the difference our Association makes in their lives.
Shifts: Primarily 8:30am-4:00pm on weekdays. Can work up to 37.5 hours per week – and shifts can be topped up to 40 hours per week. Must be available to occasional weekends and evenings to work in an on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory ability, demonstrated abilities to connect with many personalities and a passion about our organization’s vision. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and sustain strong working relationships.
- Post-Secondary education in a social service-related field, and program administration; or related experience in social services program management is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in program management and social services is preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, insurance & reliable transportation.
- Clearance of Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
- Knowledge and experience in the Community Living sector is an asset.

Wage: This is a BCGEU unionized position, Grid Level 14. ($33.77-$38.77/ hour, based on seniority or equivalent experience.) You will also get enrolled in our benefits program and Municipal Pension Plan after completion of your probation period.
